Grab your friends and hangout, watch a show, pick a movie, play games, listen to music, do something crafty, and snack out with us!

Once a month, we turn a STEM idea into an engineering project. Projects are intended for school-aged kids and above, though younger children are welcome to participate with a grown-up.

Share your original poems, songs, and stories on the big stage. 

Mocktails will be served. Spectators are welcome. Time slots are limited. PERFORMERS MUST REGISTER.

A teaching artist from Hive Center for the Book Arts will guide your creativity making an art piece inspired by poetry.

Join us for our 5th annual Plant Swap. Bring a healthy, rooted houseplant to trade with other plant enthusiasts. Be ready to share your plant’s name and its light, soil, and water preferences.

Dan Santat discusses his journey writing and illustrating over a hundred books for young people.

Students grade 9–12 can drop-in and earn community service hours for completing fun and meaningful tasks. No registration is required.

Enjoy a short presentation of several local authors’ published works followed by a meet and greet. 

Come to an evening of zany math games in the Activity Room! Games are of various skill levels to provide mathematical fun for the whole family.

All Ages

Play popular board games, including Ticket to Ride and Codenames. Participants can also bring their own board game to play.

Teens planning on volunteering for Summer Reading 2025 must attend this orientation. For Grades 9-12.

The library will stay open late for students in grades 9–12. There will be extra group study spaces and quiet study spaces, as well as a therapy dog available for pre-finals stress relief.

Grades 9-12

Sewing expert Mike Hall will go over all the basic sewing machine stitches used to construct a tote bag. Prior sewing machine experience is required. Sewing machines and supplies will be provided.
