Bill Feldman is a longtime resident of Morton Grove. Born in 1946, Bill was part of the early wave of the Baby Boom generation. He lived in the Ravenswood area of Chicago before moving to Morton Grove in the early 1950s.

Bill’s early memories include witnessing the St. Alphonsus Church fire in October 1950 and Morton Grove’s “sparkling white” sidewalks at the time. He also speaks about starting a neighborhood newspaper as a kid, putting on a backyard carnival for charity, pursuing his interest in math, and visiting the Soviet Union in the 1960s while playing in a jazz band.
