Research shows that developing reading habits in your child from birth increases your child’s vocabulary and prepares them for future learning.
We’re here to help you work toward this goal with our program 1000 Books Before Kindergarten.
About the Program
Built for families with children from birth to pre-K, the aim of this program is to read 1000 books with your child before they start Kindergarten.
Why 1000 Books?
You might be thinking: “You want us to read 1000 books? We already have too many time commitments!” We agree it sounds like a daunting task, but we promise you it is achievable and fun.
If you read one book a day to your child, you will reach 1000 books in less than three years. Read three books a day and you will reach 1000 books in less than a year. Ultimately this program is about sharing the enjoyment of reading with your child and letting them hear lots of different words and stories.
